The top hair launches of 2020!

It’s a hard job, but someone’s got to do it. We narrowed down our top hair launches, in what has been QUITE the year, to just five products. Here’s what made the cut…

ghd Rise

All rise for the newest addition to the ghd roster. The rise was one of the most hyped launches of the year – it can smooth, it can curl, it can shape Zoom-ready hair in mere minutes. The 5mm bristles are the perfect length to grip hair without risking tangles, and the same clever technology as the ghd straighteners helps to keep it at 185 degrees at all times. It’s perfect for giving us flippy, glossy, groomed Cher-from-Clueless vibes.

BaByliss PRO Cordless Curling Tongs

Another electrical offering which got us VERY excited, these cordless tongs are perfect for introducing a dreamy Cottagecore-esque wave into your hair. The 25mm barrel is the perfect size for loose, romantic waves. And did we mention they’re cordless? They’re super convenient, and last up to 40 minutes of wireless use on one charge, which is more than enough for a couple of days’ quick use or a full-on styling spree.

Wella Professionals Color Fresh Masks

With everything that’s been going on this year, keeping on top of our colour has been a challenge. The clever bods at Wella Professionals have the answer! These hydrating masks help your salon colour last longer, and are also great if you like to experiment a bit with colour! There are 11 ready-made, temporary colour-depositing shades, a winning combination of colour and care to revive or transform tones at home.

Kérastase Genesis

If you’re finding your lots of hair all over your house, this one is for you. The new Genesis range is a power-packed bunch to strengthen hair and encourage fresh growth. It’s perfect for anyone who is worried about early-stages of hair loss. Maybe you’ve been a bit run-down or anxious (ahem, everyone) or you’ve recently had a baby – this range will give hair the boost it needs. Olaplex No.7 Bonding Oil

Time for TLC – we had plenty of it this year. Staying at home, air-drying, multi-masking, you name it. But something we kept returning to was the Olaplex No.7, which launched early this year. There’s something magical about these golden droplets. The shine it creates is, frankly, dazzling and it works equally well on wet and dry hair as a daily styling superstar. It’s particularly brilliant for curly hair types!
