Zzzzz… we’ve got 6 snooze button-friendly style ideas

So the alarm went off and you hit snooze… six times over. Now you’ve only got five minutes to get up and out of the house – nightmare situation, right? Don’t panic, we’ve all been there. While you grab a coffee, we’ve enlisted Milly Spencer, top stylist at award winning George’s Hairdressing, to share her quick hair styling tips. Go, go go!

On mornings like this, I get out my L’Oréal Professionnel Tecni.ART Morning After Dust. It’s amazing – it is a very lightweight, powdered dry shampoo, but don’t be scared because it doesn’t leave a white residue so you can give it a good spray to fight those unwanted oils.

If I have time, I’ll grab a curling tong – I use the ghd Curve Creative Curl Wand – and wave my hair in all different directions. I never worry too much about the curls being all identical, I love when the curls and waves are mismatched.

When it comes to quick styling fixes, I will pin my fringe off my face, usually up into a quiff. Or I’m a big fan of the half up, half down topknot – it doesn’t have to be too tidy so don’t worry about pinning and sculpting it.

My secret weapon is Kérastase L’Incroyable Blow Dry Crème – I apply 20 pence piece sized amount of this creamy product and apply it to the mid lengths and ends, and blast it into my hair with a hairdryer. It allows me to remould my hair into a new shape no matter how clean it is.

With a few minutes, you can style a simple ponytail. Grab a flat bristle brush and brush your hair up and fix it with a bobble. Take a small part of the ponytail and wrap it round to conceal the hair tie, and secure it with a grip, then spray with L’Oréal Professionnel Tecni.ART Fix Design.

If you’re running late for a big occasion, I’d recommend having a ready to wear clip-in piece to hand. Balmain’s Catwalk Pony and Hairdress both add some glamour in seconds!
