After a huge investment in the city centre in recent years, Leeds has reaffirmed its position as a real mecca for edgy styling and cool salons which are well worth a visit

Between them have won pretty much every award going in hair. Robert is the Wella Professionals technical director for UK and Ireland, and his team have all been trained to reflect his passion for technique and unique touches to make every colour and cut stand out.

The coolest collective you ever did see! This spacious salon has a bit of a NYC loft vibe with its exposed brick and poured concrete aesthetic, and all of the furniture can be moved around to create an impromptu shooting space. Expect detailed, forward-thinking and personalised cuts, and everything from ultra-blended balayage to the brightest hues to come out of those doors. The Tint collective team have something for everyone.

Renaissance, @renaissancestyle

A multi-floor studio which also includes creative space for an artist, wellbeing expert and made-to-measure clothing, Renaissance feels like a new look at what a hairdressers can be. Hair health is key to these stylists, with a focus on natural and organic products: 98 per cent of the products are vegan and 100 per cent are cruelty-free. Even their towels are biodegradable, made from sustainably sourced bamboo. If you’ve got a big event or a wedding coming up, then these guys should definitely be on your radar for event hair.
