#CHOPTOYOURCHIN with ghd – the Textured Bob
This is a soft and tousled, effortless wave. To create the slightly dishevelled texture, twist dry hair and then reverse the waves to create an ‘S’ bend, similar to a modern scrunch. Create this look using the new ghd limited edition pink blush collection, in partnership with Breast Cancer Now; keep your tresses in check and help fund vital research into breast cancer.
What you’ll need:
• ghd platinum limited edition pink blush styler and roll bag, £165 (£10 donated to Breast Cancer Now)
• ghd air limited edition pink blush hairdryer, £99 (£10 donated to Breast Cancer Now)
• ghd limited edition pink blush paddle brush, £20 (£2 donated to Breast Cancer Now)
The look: the Textured Bob
Prep the hair with ghd root lift spray to give fullness and all-over body to your style.
Twist dry the hair using the ghd edition pink blush hairdryer for added base texture, making sure that the nozzle is pointing downwards to ensure the air flow is streamlined.
Next, place the ghd platinum limited edition pink blush styler at the root and rotate half a turn to the left. Glide the styler through the hair, approximately a styler width and stop.
Then, rotate the styler in the opposite direction, and glide the styler further down the hair approximately another styler width, leaving out the ends for a slightly straighter finish.
Repeat steps three and four throughout the hair repeatedly rocking the styler from side to side to create an ‘S’ bend in the hair.
Dress the hair by gently combing through using the ghd detangling comb for an undone finish.
“If you’ve going for a drastic cut from long to short, ask your hairdresser to show you the different ways of styling your new hair using a ghd styler. You’ll find that hair will be lighter as there is less hair weighing it down, so it can require totally different styling techniques”
– Adam Reed, ghd global ambassador
